I am a psychologist with an unwavering belief in the possibility of change, combining warmth and authenticity, with skill and compassion. I strive to create a safe, empathetic, and trusting space where you can learn, grow, and move towards becoming the best version of yourself. I ensure that I take the time and care to understand you, and to connect with your meaning, purpose, and values. I have passion for assisting others in reaching their potential and consider it a privilege to do my job and support my clients in navigating difficult times in their lives.
I treat a broad range of presenting issues including anxiety conditions, eating disorders and body image issues, interpersonal and attachment difficulties, social challenges, high performance stress, chronic pain, and injury management. I also seek to ensure my clients have the tools to thrive once their mental health has improved, with an emphasis on improving lifestyle choices, mastering focus, building motivation, and enhancing resilience. I hold a particular interest in sport, performance, and exercise psychology, and particularly enjoy working with clients in these settings.
I strongly believe in the link between mental and physical health, and the impact of lifestyle (nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness) on brain health and overall wellbeing. I am a published researcher in the field and an experienced workshop facilitator, presenting regularly on the topic of resilience and peak performance in work, sport, and school settings.
In line with my commitment to treating an individual with physical health in mind, I seek to work collaboratively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, paediatricians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and naturopaths.
Outside of psychology, my time is spent with my husband and two beautiful children, and our Labrador. I value health, our family and friends, fitness, moments of calm, and visiting my home town in Tasmania.
Contact me to book your first appointment, I look forward to working with you.
